The John Lewis Retail Report is an annual exploration into how the nation shops, lives and looks. It uses the retailer’s sales data to examine the year's most influential products and pinpoints the key trends in everything from fashion to technology, home decor to children's toys.
2017 was the fifth anniversary of the report and so it needed to be extra special and celebrate five years of leadership in British retail. As the writer, I was involved at every stage, including planning, data analysis, interviews, infographic concept development and writing its 40 pages.
The report was a big success with the media, featuring in many national newspapers.
